PTL Board Members

Board Bylaws and Duties

Preside at all League and Executive Board meetings
Draw up an agenda for each meeting
Make sure the library is set up for each meeting
Coordinate the work of the officers and committees
Make appointments to the board, when necessary
Make decisions about petty cash
Call emergency meetings of the executive board, as necessary
Serve as a Director of the Executive Board the year following his/her term of office
Perform all other duties normally pertaining to the office

Keep proper records of all League and Executive Board meetings
Prepare copies of the minutes for each League meeting, distribute them prior to the next meeting,
Add minutes to the PTL web page (or supply to web manager to do so)
Handle all correspondence
Collate, collect and file all annual written reports from committee Chairpersons for the Board’s review
Hold all books and records of the League, except those of the Treasurer
Perform other duties as may be delegated by the Board

Audit the ledger book of the outgoing Treasurer
Obtain paperwork necessary to change authorized signatures on checks
Write and sign checks against the treasury
Deposit the revenues from all fund raisers and field trip money
Supply a till, when requested, for fund raisers
Keep a detailed balance sheet in the ledger book provided
Keep a record of fund raisers detailing the profits raised from each one
Submit a written Treasurer’s report at each League meeting
Settle the bank book and ledger balances monthly and at year’s end
Submit a final report at the end of the school year
Be audited by a Committee of two members other than the President or Vice-President
