Parkside Students Kick Off the Year Together

Parkside Elementary students kicked off the school year together on September 18 with a schoolwide assembly focused on leadership, goals, and being part of the Parkside community.

All grade levels gathered in the multipurpose room to review school expectations, meet the school safeties, and learn more about Leader in Me and the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. Members of the Parkside chorus also helped set the tone for the year with a performance of the school song.

Students talked about setting their Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) and learned how their Leadership Portfolios will help them track their goals, celebrate accomplishments, and reflect on their growth.

The afternoon wrapped up with a few fun games, giving students a chance to laugh, play, and kick off the year together!
